China Wind Power 2024 (CWP2024) Call for Academic Papers
China Wind Power 2024 (CWP2024) will be held from October 16th to 18th at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). The call for academic papers is now open. This activity, as one of the many series of events of CWP2024, has been successfully held for 16 sessions and has received support and attention from numerous wind energy professionals. It provides a high-quality platform for the industry to showcase the latest research and development achievements, promote cooperation between industry, academia, and research institutions, and facilitate the dissemination of innovative results, creating a favorable atmosphere for the development of the industry supported by technology.
Each academic exploration and innovation not only illuminates the path ahead of us but also expands human cognition continuously. Based on a high degree of attention to and profound understanding of academic development, in order to further stimulate academic vitality, tap into academic potential, and promote related fields towards higher levels and broader domains, we are now calling for academic papers from the entire industry. The relevant matters are notified as follows:
I. Contents covered in the papers
1. Novel technologies for the design, manufacturing and testing of wind turbines and components for the different operating environments of offshore and onshore wind farms, and new technologies, better designs, new materials, and technology applications that help reduce LCOE;
2. Regarding wind resource assessment, micro-site selection, construction design, advanced construction management, transportation, hoisting, commissioning of wind turbines, and other advanced technologies, experiences, and models, etc.;
3. IoT in energy and smart wind farms, wind power forecasting, wind farm cluster optimization control technology, intelligent operation and maintenance technology, digital twin technology, wind power grid connection, electricity consumption., complementarity between wind energy and other energy sources, and microgrid application, etc.;
4. Research on wind farm grid connection performance, testing and simulation analysis, electricity generation and demand forecasting, optimization of transmission infrastructure, and system ancillary services, etc.;
5. Research on the renovation of old wind farms, upgrading through "large unit substitution for small ones" and recycling and reuse;
6. Various energy integration solutions, technological integration and innovation of wind energy storage, energy storage system integration, shared energy storage, energy storage safety and standardization, analysis of energy storage product responsibility, and insurance. Research on power market mechanisms for energy storage industry development, etc.;
7. Advanced technologies for green methanol production from wind power-generated hydrogen, hydrogen storage, transportation, and safety technologies, applications and technologies for green hydrogen, green ammonia, and green methanol, fuel cells, materials, equipment, and components., etc;
8. Research on technologies for the design and manufacturing of floating offshore wind turbines, floating platforms, mooring systems, dynamic cables, and related components;
9. Research on technologies for the design, construction, transportation, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of offshore wind power projects, as well as related equipment, vessels, and infrastructure;
10. Research on distributed wind power technology, including suitable turbine units and applications, as well as related policies and investment strategies;
11. Issues related to finance and insurance in wind power:
1) How insurance products can serve the wind power industry
2) Applications of risk reduction in the wind power sector
3) How to conduct risk assessments when investing in wind power
4) Technologies for enhancing the value of wind power assets
II. Requirements for submission of papers
1. Timeline
A long abstract (1,500 words-2,000 words) or the full text of the paper may be submitted from now till September 20th.
From September 21th to October 10th, the Organizing Committee will send a notice to the selected authors after reviewing the submitted contents.
2. Submission requirements
A long abstract and the full text of the paper may be submitted in either Chinese or English;
Please include the author’s personal profile and contact details (please provide the profile of the author who intends to attend the CWP2024 if there are more than one authors);
For paper format and length requirements, please refer to the attached Paper Submission Format Requirements;
Those who have contributed to previous sessions of the CWP or those whose papers are not novel will not be accepted by the Organizing Committee.
III. Communication through papers
The Organizing Committee will invite industry experts to review the papers. For the selected ones, the following communication methods will be adopted:
1. The selected papers will be included in the CWP proceedings (electronic version);
2. Selected papers will be made into posters for on-site display at CWP2024;
3. Based on the paper contents and CWP schedule, the Organizing Committee will make the arrangement so that the authors of some selected papers can give speeches at CWP2024 forums;
4. All selected papers will be recommended for publication in the magazine Wind Energy (CN11-5942/TK). (The final publication will be subject to the review and notice of Wind Energy Magazine)
IV. Other information
1. The Organizing Committee will invite industry experts to review the contributions based on high selection standards so that professional papers with more academic value can be recommended to CWP2024;
2. The call for papers aims at promoting academic communication. The Organizing Committee does not own the copyright of the papers included in the proceedings, and the authors may still publish them in other specialized journals at their own will;
3. The author shall take sole responsibility for all issues related to his paper. The Organizing Committee has the right to cancel the opportunity for the paper to be included in the proceedings and presented at CWP if it receives a written letter from any party that questions the intellectual property right to the submitted paper in a timely manner. Other responsibilities shall be borne by the submitter.
